GeoSchool
GeoSchool is an intuitive, user friendly, geographic information system designed specifically for planning in School Districts.
The software allows virtually any kind of "what if" scenario to be addressed, including the impact of boundary changes, school openings, school closures, program relocations, and grade re-organizations. It also provides the ability to estimate pupil yields for specific housing development types, and to instantaneously measure the extent of cross boundary registrations in the District by program or by pupil characteristic.
- GeoSchool has proven to be an invaluable tool, particularly when we created new Attendance Zones for fifteen schools this year. The software allowed us to study countless simulations of new catchment areas, as it provides instant data on all students affected by our changes. It was especially useful in explaining the impact of proposed changes to parents, administrators and Commissioners, both before and after the decisions were taken by the School Board. Moreover, Baragar's customer service is superlative. We have always received immediate and friendly service whenever we had a question or wanted to modify some of our data.
