Jason Curteis

President

Jason is the President of Baragar Systems. He provides the developmental direction for the company and delivers the lion’s share of the client training. Since his teenage years, Jason has served Superintendents, Directors and Planners in the education industry by creating the software they need. Jason’s commitment to a customer-centric business philosophy has been a major contributing factor to the longevity of Baragar Systems. Many clients have enjoyed Jason’s screen savers during their training, a testament to his love of photography and diving.

Carson Curteis

Vice President

Carson is the Vice-President of Baragar Systems. After travelling the world in the early 1990s, he joined Jason and Chuck as the interactive software for Baragar Systems was being developed. He became involved with all aspects of the company — from troubleshooting student data to updating electronic maps and geocoding students, to working with Census data applications and bookkeeping. He soon became the primary backup for Chuck in doing enrolment projections. Today, Carson heads the Analytic Team (data analytics, population and enrolment projections), client support and software enhancements. He is an avid sportsman who enjoys playing hockey, golf, mountain biking and fishing.

CJ Flack

Production Manager

CJ is the Production Manager at Baragar Systems.  His role is to supervise a team of GIS and data specialists in the production and update of Baragar’s software solutions.  After studying at Capilano College and the University of Victoria, he graduated with a BA in Geography and a certificate in Spatial Information Systems from Simon Fraser University.  He has been a dedicated member of the Baragar team since 2004.  Being a child, sibling, and husband of an educator, he has long had a connection to the school community, and this has continued throughout his time with Baragar Systems.  He has lived in many regions of the Province, including the Sunshine Coast, Kootenays, Sea to Sky, Vancouver Island, and the Lower Mainland, and has gained an appreciation for the people and natural beauty of BC.  In his spare time he takes advantage of this by traveling, snowboarding, camping, kayaking, and fishing.

Jeremy Baisch

IT Director & Software Development Coordinator

With the company since 2000, Jeremy is Baragar’s IT Director and Software Development Coordinator, but he also provides the bulk of client training and advanced support. A graduate of Simon Fraser University, Jeremy’s interests include golf, working on his 1920’s cottage near White Rock beach, and the occasional video game.

Chris Beattie

Data Warehouse Manager

Chris has lived in White Rock B.C. for the majority of his life and started with Baragar in 2001 as an entry level GIS technician involved with map updating and geocoding pupil data.Today he is the Data Warehouse Manager in charge of collecting, processing and troubleshooting various data sources used within all aspects of the Baragar software. Outside of Baragar, Chris has many interests including camping, fishing, kayaking and working out.

Chuck Curteis

Founder (Retired)

Prior to founding Baragar Systems, much of Chuck’s career was in the field of education. After earning an MA in Education he was a Teacher, Principal, Civil Servant in the Education Branch of Statistics Canada and a Planner in the Surrey School District. Chuck transferred his knowledge to become a successful business owner serving the education community in Canada and the United States. Chuck’s understanding and exuberance for the field of education has provided inspiration for his employees and clients alike. His methodologies for enrolment projections and the automation of such have provided him with guru-like acclaim. Chuck has now retired, but still considers many clients his friends.

Field Associates
